AI-based solutions play a crucial role in automating processes that were previously carried out manually. One example is the VAIDA system for handling court-enforcement documents, presented by Agata Zapała, Business Solutions Architect at VSoft SA.
What is the VAIDA system and how does it work?
VAIDA (VSoft AI Document Analyser) is a module that uses artificial intelligence to analyze court and enforcement documents. Unlike traditional OCR tools, our solution is based on Azure Document Intelligence and OpenAI, enabling deep document analysis.
The module interprets multi-page documents of varying structure, transforming them into structured datasets. It uses trained AI models to identify key information from court-enforcement documents—such as legally relevant dates, case reference numbers (court/bailiff), court names, bailiff details and office, document types, process costs, interest, and more.
What types of documents does the system process?
The system handles digital documents in DOCX, PDF, JPG formats, as well as scans of paper documents.
VAIDA extends the functionality of the Court Information Portal Connector, automatically retrieving e-deliveries via API. Since data from the Portal is often incomplete or unclear, VAIDA analyzes the document contents and converts them into structured, readable data.
What are the benefits of implementing VAIDA?
First and foremost, it enhances automation of legal proceedings by eliminating the need for manual document analysis and data entry. This reduces errors, increases scalability, and ensures data consistency.
The module improves over time through learning from new documents, increasing extraction accuracy.
VAIDA is deployed in the Microsoft Azure cloud, ensuring a high level of data security.
Who is this solution for?
While the system is designed to handle court-enforcement documents, it is flexible and configurable, and can be tailored to specific needs—for example, to expand data extraction or support other types of documents such as loan or insurance files.
Organizations can use the ready-made model or request customization to suit their individual requirements.
