Discovery Phase in Banking Projects. Join VSoft and Bank Millennium for a conversation at the Corporate and Investment Banking Congress

On 5 November, during the 12th Corporate and Investment Banking Congress, VSoft will host a fireside chat dedicated to the Discovery phase. Jakub Głąb, Vice President of the Management Board at VSoft, will talk with Arkadiusz Drzał, Director of Corporate Banking Products and Transformation at Bank Millennium, about how to reduce the risk of large projects before the implementation decision is made.

IT projects in corporate banking are rarely “just implementations.” Lending systems, rating models, legacy integrations, regulatory requirements and many stakeholders mean that the original plan often doesn’t survive contact with reality. On top of that, months can pass between the project decision and its kick-off, and the assumptions made at the start have an “expiry date.” Every later course correction costs time and budget.

Can those assumptions be tested earlier? The conversation will present the Discovery phase as a practical tool for verifying project scope before the development contract is signed. We’ll discuss what Discovery is and what it isn’t, when it’s worth doing, and who on the bank’s side needs to be at the table to avoid surprises at the end. AI will also be on the agenda: where process automation delivers real value and where its limits lie, especially when it comes to banking data.

This is a meeting of two perspectives: a bank leading the transformation of its corporate banking, and a vendor delivering projects for the financial sector. It’s a short, focused conversation for people who decide on budgets, scope and the direction of change in their bank.
